TRIZ has been developed by Genrich S. Altshuller (1926-1998). The method has been designed through analysis of thousands of patents. Altshuller had found out, that:

  • the developments of technical systems are following certain patterns and regularities
  • these regularities can be used for further development and improvement of technical systems

TRIZ (Teoriya Resheniya Izobreatatelskikh Zadatch / Theory of Inventive Problem Solving)
… is an innovation and problem solving tool, which is based on logical thinking rather than intuition.. This method enhances the capabilities of project teams to find creative and efficient solutions to concrete problems and goals.

Benefits:

  • Very structured approach in the innovation process
  • An extensive guideline gives a lot of potential for new ideas and innovation creation
  • Fast results
  • Support to the teams to unfold their innovative capabilities and thinking out of the box

Effort:

Due to a wide spectrum of application, TRIZ will be carried out in short workshops (approx. 0.5 to 2 days) as well as in longer projects.

About the method:

TRIZ implicates a wide spectrum of diverse tools:

Regarding the time sequence, following steps will be followed:
Formulating the problem – classifying the problem – finding solutions to the problem with TRIZ tools – evaluating the solutions

TRIZ in practice:

TRIZ has found these days a wide application in mainly technically oriented companies:

  • Failure analysis and trouble-shooting
  • Solving of technical problems and tasks
  • Development of new product concepts based on the technical evolution
  • Improving of the creativity and innovation potential in companies and in projects
  • Optimalization of products and product attributes
